Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.

Passing notes

Farmer J is pretty much working second shift this semester...a lot of night classes!  As the boys and I are on the first shift with work and school, we are often missing J (i.e., "Dada).  As J has never been one for talking on the phone and views texting as mainly a way to communicate his intended message in the fewest words possible... we had to be creative.  One day last week, after I picked up the boys from school and came home... we found little blue post-it notes all throughout our house!

We ran through the house finding notes and reading them.  As JJ can now read, he found this activity especially fun (and educational!)  And of course... all the notes were rated "G"!

After we found and read all our notes, JJ made this for J and I on the ceiling above our bed.  He wrote us notes on the sides and made a heart out of post-it notes in the middle.  JJ, most often, shows us his love through words and little acts of kindness- just like this!

It warms my heart that my husband is teaching the boys how to show love in many different ways- including leaving little love notes throughout the house.  There are so many ways to show love: through physical touch, words of affirmation, gifts, quality time and acts of service.  If you have never read a book on the 5 love languages, I highly recommend reading one.  It is a life changing read and really helped me understand better how to love and be loved.
