Eggs

I asked JJ to put the chickens to bed after dinner last night! A few minutes later he came into the kitchen saying "I can't hold them much longer!" And of course this blogging Mama said "Keep going! I need to get a picture!"

Quess how many eggs a boys shirt can hold?????

And throw in some hay...dirt...and poo!

Can you tell we were behind on egg collecting?

35 eggs! He carried 35 eggs in his shirt in one trip! I still have no clue how he opened the door... and I'm sure he didn't shut the door behind him!  As soon as the eggs were safely contained, the shirt went straight into the wash and the boy went right into the bathroom to wash up!

One of the egg layers! She lays mini sized eggs as she is a mini (or Bantam) chicken!
Her name is "Boots" and she is a family favorite!

Except when she poops right on the porch leading to our mudroom door! At least the poo hardens quicker (and smells less) in the cooler, fall air.
