Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.

Sparrow Hawk Winterfell

Our newest addition to our furry family:

Sparrow hawk Winterfell

She is 8 weeks old and we adopted her on Friday, January 8th. Weeks ago, she was brought to the humane society when a Good Samaritan found her outside, nearly dead and alone.

JJ and farmer J came up with her name and Pickle and I both loved it! Yes, "Winterfell" is from Game of Thrones.

Sparrow is mainly black with white "socks" and a tiny white beauty mark spot above her mouth. She is little but quite fierce and loving all at once.

These two want nothing to do with her...
with some hissing and low growling produced when she is in their line of sight.  We are still keeping them separate, for a few reasons but mainly because Sparrow is on an antibiotic for an upper respiratory infection. Her antibiotic course is complete mid-week, then fingers crossed for a peaceful house full of three kittens.
