Our little black goat is healing nicely! Just this morning he and Padraig were butting heads and "playing", as wee goat boys do!
Trying out something new. A new way of living. A more simple life. One farmer. One farmer's wife. Two boys. Two rams. Six ewes. Two goats. Two pigs. Three rescue kittens. Nine hens. Two bee hives. Room to roam. Room to get dirty. Room to grow in mid-west soil. A wary farm wife because this is a new life for our family. But God is good and so are fresh eggs.

Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.

Off to the vets office
We are only minutes from the country vet clinic so we are headed in...two adults, two kids and one baby goat- all in the mini-van.
The vet said the wound isn't through to his abdomen, which is very good news for Ciaran.
The only bad part of this trip is passing by the corn fields, recently harvested, that are being sprayed and injected with liquid manure! Nasty!
