Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.

Summer is all about...

playing the board game your oldest son designed all on his own.
No school means staying up later and having energy to make and create a game.

Thrift find

I LOVE lilies of the valley.  These flowers are my birth flowers and were the flowers I held when Farmer J and I got married.  I found this original painting at a local thrift shop... for a whopping $6 dollars.  I think this artwork will look amazing in our 1900's craftsman bungalow. I'll post another picture once its found some wall space in our home.

Cat nap

JJ has a new best friend in Fisherman Finn.  It's truly amazing to see how much joy this 5 pound animal has brought into this little boy's life.  And I love seeing how kind, gentle and loving my boy is to his newest furry friend.  Our rescue kittens have won our hearts and added so much laughter into our lives.  Now...the goats are not sure about the wee little kittens-- they are actually quite scared of them!  It's a pretty funny sight to see.

Summer in a small town...

"Town and Country Days" came to our small town of less than 6,000 souls.  Carnival rides, music, food and a parade...

My favorite time of day in the summer...

Watching the sunset with my newest, furry friends...and my youngest son (aka, dirty toes)!

New arrivals to the farm...

Fisherman Finn and Trinity Lutheran Eve (yes, those are their real names) came home today!

It is so much fun having kittens in the house!

Fisherman Finn and JJ!
